Sonically balanced analog push-pull transistor amplifier with elegant, simple look.
Natural sound philosophy of Yamaha, best components and still a proper full phono preamp MM and MC.
The design of the Yamaha AX-570 is characterized by the round selection switches and stands out pleasantly from the very technical-looking variants. The metal housing is solidly constructed and the materials look very appealing. The discreet use of small light points for information round off the positive overall optical impression.

- Report in "FonoForum" 11 / 1993
Field report from 25.12.2009
- The user bought a unit on 30.12.1993 by mail order at DM 575,-.
- Device so far okay, but unfortunately the motor-driven input selector switch (source) has been causing contact problems for some time. Contact spray does not help either.
Repair is not worthwhile. Remedy: Input selector switch was bridged with wire jumpers in the "CD" position, i.e. this input is constantly switched through.
My model is from 1992, in 2009 I replaced the input select switch myself. Cost switch ca.80 €. In addition, I replaced the 2 relays for the loudspeaker activation, the original ones had considerable contact problems at low volumes. Subjectively, the AX 570 now sounds even better than new.
- Also had problems with the input selector switch and the volume pot. Took them both completely apart and cleaned them with a wattage stick and contact spray. Helped a lot, think like new. Now after a few years they are giving me problems again. Loudspeaker suctions A&B are on all the time, I think the relay is stuck. Other than that I am very satisfied.
If you only clean the switches with contact spray you usually get problems again after a short time. You have to remove the contact spray from the switch/pot (e.g. with WL-spray), otherwise it will attack the contacts further. Afterwards the contacts are preserved e.g. with contact 61.

Good luck, Sleeπ

- As usual : NEW switch with gold! (The whole series were such "economy switches" at that time.)HW
