  • First unit of a new generation of cassette decks with electronic control and touch key operation.
  • The later decks of the HMK series are also based on the SK3000.
  • The drive functions were realized by electromagnets.
  • The sound shaft was driven by its own continuously rotating and electronically controlled DC motor.
  • While the design was trend-setting, the operating possibilities were quite limited (no seek, only 2 tape types).
  • Rewinding a tape is very slow (>120 s for a C60 cassette).
  • The connection possibilities via the only audio cable are also minimal,

Other models of the same series: SK3900
Same technical data, but cabinet width approx. 390 mm, adapted to the HiFi components of the System S3900
