Short description

Variant of Ortofon's OM magnet system with a particularly high output voltage and low compliance needle that can be driven with fairly high tracking force. This is accompanied by a hifi frequency response. Ortofon assigns this system to the DJ area.
Visually it can be recognized by the more conspicuous, non-black needle inserts as on the pure hifi OM systems (OM 3 E to OM 40 Super).

Remarks

Other models of the same series:

  • OM Nightclub S with spherical needle (needle insertion also yellow);
  • OM Pro: higher recommended tracking force compared to the Nightclub E, lower output voltage (5 mV); the latter, however, higher than the OM models for pure hifi (needle insert and housing (largely) silver-coloured).
  • OM Nightclub E Mk II
