Reports[edit]

  • Review by "Hifi-Studio" on Kenwood KD-5070 / KD-5077:
  • The two turntables Kenwood KD-5070 and Kenwood KD-5077 came on the market in 1978. Technically they are the same, the difference is in the design of the frame. The KD-5070 has a solid ARCB (Anti Resonance Compression Base) frame consisting of limestone particles, glass powder and unsaturated resin. The KD-5077 has a veneered wooden frame. It is driven by a servo-controlled 20-pole brushless DC motor. This guarantees minimal speed fluctuations and speed deviations. A variable speed control enables precise speed adjustment. The stroboscope helps with precise speed setting. Manual or fully automatic operation is possible. The precision tonearm is equipped with an anti skating correction and a headshell according to SME standard. The tonearm lift is viscose damped and lowers the arm gently. Both turntables belong to the top class.
