Company profile[edit]

ASC = Audio System Components GmbH & Co Electronic Produktions KG later ASC electronic Vertriebs und Service GmbH

Originally founded in 1964, specifically active in the development of language training systems based on Braun tape recorders (> Autenrieth).

With the end of the tape recorder production at Braun, the development of own devices as ASC was founded. Both the early tape recorders and the first receiver and amplifier electronics show a close stylistic and technical relationship to the Frankfurt products.

In 1981 ASC took over Uher's speech training systems division and became the sole distributor in 1982. In 1984 ASC took over the production of Select electronics from KS-Electronic Kücke & Co. GmbH from Wuppertal.

In the mid-eighties, ASC begins to withdraw increasingly from the classic audio sector and specializes in Communications Recording.
With the takeover of Kreutler telecom, ASC Telecom AG grows to become Europe's largest manufacturer in this field.
