Company profile

Not too much is known about Coral Audio Corporation of Japan, which made excellent loudspeaker cabinets and drivers. Founded probably in the 50s (the following brochure is from 1958), the company unfortunately went bankrupt in the mid 80s. From the late 60s on, many well-known Japanese and also German manufacturers helped themselves to the range of high quality loudspeaker drivers. Among others Sansui, Kenwood, Yamaha, Fostex and Visaton should be mentioned. Less known is that Coral also produced amplifiers, tuners, receivers and turntables in the 60s and pickup systems in the 70s.
