Reports

The 701s Heco have proven to be very "power hungry" for me. Heco gives in the manual to the speakers a recommended amplifier power of 30 - 300 watts. In my case, even with an 80 watt amplifier output (per channel) they initially sounded "unbalanced" (I was disappointed at first!). For a truly balanced and agile sound they definitely need more power. In the meantime they play worlds better at 300 watts per channel. To get to the point, it is absolutely not about listening to loud music, but only to be able to cover the power requirements in a way that does justice to the output signal(s). As an additional tip I recommend to use the two speaker cables unconditionally to the two upper jacks on the speaker if you want to operate no bi-amp wiring.
