Myro Amur Series
Description
The series contains the best chassis of the market from the Accuton Cell series and is technologically the latest state of the art at Myro. The signal conversion thus achieves the highest authenticity and precision. Many hi-fi enthusiasts want improvements in sound by optimizing their chain. If decisive progress is made in the direction of less coloration in some areas, as is possible with equalized Accuton drivers that are controlled correctly in terms of time and signal, other colorations and inconsistencies in the old chain are exposed. Those who do not proceed consistently in the sense of decolourisation often tend to back out and continue to seek their salvation in discolourations and distortions. With the Amur models, great importance was attached to low time drift at the transmission ends, which raises impulse reproduction and room imaging to a new level of quality. The closed cabinet tuning with low Q-value and the additive circuit design of the two woofers ensure a flat drop at the lower end of the transmission range. |
Amur Series Development Goals:
- very broadband
- with very flat transmission ends
- as free as possible from resonances
- low distortion
- practical sound pressure level for living rooms
- uncritical impedance (magnitude + phase)
- time correct
- ... therefore maximum pulse energy / pulse dynamics
- ... with high frequency accuracy / low signal distortion during transient response
- very good radiation behaviour / no sweet spot problem
- as linear as possible amplitude frequency response (no sounding)
Cabinet
The edges of the pentagon are all bevelled, so that in combination with the 108° angle the sound refraction at the edges is as low as possible. The horizontal dispersion of the speaker is excellent, so on-axis alignment is not necessary. It is perfect when one of the two front side panels is only visible as a narrow strip from the listening position.
Another advantage of the Pentagon is that there are no parallel walls all around and therefore no standing waves inside.
