Almost everything about this loudspeaker was newly developed. The start was with the intricately designed cabinets made from multi-layer moulded wood. Although this loudspeaker has a long, folded transmission line and is equipped with two 22-cm woofers with carbon-fibre cone, it appears elegant and slim. All cabinet surfaces are curved, which additionally stabilises the body and makes it practically resonance-free. The bass therefore reaches even deeper and is stunningly clean and dry. The midrange driver is also newly developed. A stiffly suspended and feather-light diaphragm with an extremely large voice coil gives the entire midrange an unprecedented dynamism and cleanliness. The pinnacle of this loudspeaker is the tweeter. Here an electrostat is at work. The diaphragm of the electrostat is virtually mass-free and is driven over the entire driven over the entire surface by a homogeneous force field. The TCI 2 E has level controls for the tweeter, midrange and bass, completely separate FSR crossovers for bass and midrange with separate connections.
