The Art Audiophile lyon is a small 3 way bass reflex floorstanding speaker.

It is equipped with a Technics TH400 ribbon tweeter and two Monacor SPP110/8 cone bass/midrange drivers. The cabinet is divided into two separate air chambers. The upper, closed chamber contains the closed tweeter and a Monacor SPP110 used as midrange driver, the lower bass reflex chamber contains the Monacor used as woofer.

Dimensions (WHT): 152 x 600 (+ base) x 237 mm, approx. 18mm wall thickness, can be used with or without base, between 1987 and 97 about 40 pairs of lyon were built. New price from 1800 DM / pair.

In the course of the evolution of the series they got for example a double footplate, mitred and rounded side panels and a large air coil for the bass driver. A small number of lyon was also sold as a kit.

The exhibition price including aluminium stand, glazed or in seidematt RAL colour was 2400 DM / pair at the 1989 Funkausstellung.
