Reports

  • Report in "FonoForum" 8 / 1995

  • Frequent error with used devices: After inserting a CD and closing the drawer, the CD is not read and the drawer opens again. The reason is a worn out rubber belt which is attached to the motor for the drawer mechanism. As a result, the drawer slide is not fully pulled into the reading position. Replacement belts can be found on eBay, for example. Replacing the belt is quite a fiddly job because you have to remove the drive forward. With a new rubber belt, however, the error is suddenly gone.
