Comments

  • Press Release: Sony brings a vinyl turntable to the market for the first time in years with the PS-HX500. The chassis consists of a 30 millimetre thick plinth with insulating feet. The cast aluminium turntable is driven by a two-speed belt motor. The unit is equipped with an integrated phono preamplifier, so it can be used with a normal line input of an amplifier.
  • Via USB you can connect the PS-HX500 to your PC to digitize vinyls. Sony wants to include its own software for restoring and archiving a record collection. The music can be stored in any format - the turntable digitizes even high-resolution with 24 bit or in the originally known from the SACD Direct Stream Digital (DSD) with up to 5.6 MHz (1-bit-ΔΣ conversion).
