Description
- The original BOSE 901 turned the hi-fi world on its head when it was introduced in 1968: a sensation! The professional world was unanimously enthusiastic. The reverberations of this outburst still affect us today: there is no comparable direct + indirect radiating loudspeaker.
- The first drivers had simple square magnets. But they were soon replaced by larger, round ones, which lasted until the end of the Series II's construction. The diaphragms were grey-green.
- The speakers include an equalizer with a power switch.
- Series I can be identified by the lack of a BOSE logo on the front of the speaker. <
- The type belongs today (August 2016) in the USA still to the Bose program.
- The 901 was further developed first to the 901 Series II, meanwhile (2015) to the state "901 Series VI", see also link hifimuseum.de.
