Company profile

Excerpt "Hifi Studio": "Because Jacky Setton wanted to launch something independent in small series after years of cooperation with Pioneer, he developed a handful of Hifi components, the design of which he had created by Alain Carre, an employee of Pierre Cardin. The Setton devices were built by Pioneer: Fruits of Jacky Setton's good work as a successful Pioneer importer in France. These devices won almost all comparative tests, but their small-series status made them much more expensive than the purely Japanese products. Jacky Setton underestimated the forces of the market, ...and the devices did not sell in the quantities needed to make them profitable. So in the end it remained with respectable successes in the seventies. The most famous creation of Jacky Setton is certainly his control unit: Setton RCS.X.1000. Published in 1977 at the fabulous price of 10.000,- DM."
