Als ich nach 11 Jahren meine abgedeckte Infinity Kappa 6.2i aus dem Keller holte,bemerkte ich,dass die Polydome Membran nicht mehr durchsichtig, sondern nunmehr gelb war.Als ich meinen ersten Schock überwunden hatte , beschloss ich, den Mitteltöner vosichtig auszubauen und auseinander zu nehmen , da sich der Belag von aussen nicht entfernen lies. Die Demontage der Kalotte bereitete keine Schwierigkeiten (verschraubt)

Der hässliche Belag befand sich auf der Innenseite der Kalotte und konnte von mir vorsichtig mit Spiritus gereinigt werden.Die sickenähnliche Wölbung konnte ich mit einem Wattepad erreichen. Ein Hauch Silikonspray und die Kalotte erstrahlte in neuem Glanz.

Die "Reparatur" der zweiten Kalotte dauerte 10 Minuten. Seit 2 Monaten hängt die Box wieder am Verstärker und sieht immer noch so aus wie am Tag der Reparatur.

Alle teuer gehandelten Kappas hier im Netz haben das Problem und niemand traut sich an den Imbusschlüssel.
