Hello, I bought the SABA 9260 in 1980. The list price should be 1500 DM, at that time you got a whole HiFi tower with junk equipment at Quelle for 700 DM, I paid 950 DM for the SABA receiver at that time. That was a lot of money for me. The receiver still runs today, unfortunately only the display of the tuner is kapput.
- Small tip: the tuner display can be repaired with false indications or failure also by the simple exchange of a 800 mA fuse. I bought a 9260 at e... I bought a 9260 that had this.
- Hello, a little addendum:
- If the display shows faulty data, simply replacing the fuse is not decisive. The whole display unit must be removed and disassembled. The electronics have two circuit boards. These are connected by several solid metal pins. Remove them by simply pulling them out...clean them...also the inner contacts, reassemble them...and everything runs like new in 99% of all cases!!!!
- Display error can also be because of the power supply board and the 4066 MOS switching IS error, just cured 2 Saba 9260.
