If you love surround sound a la Sonab,T+A, Pöhler Sound, Ohm Acoustics, etc., you will be delighted. The surround sound is phenomenal - stereophony in the whole room.
Due to the sound radiation of the high frequency range upwards and corresponding room reflections, real room sound is created independent of the listening position. Concert-goers know the live characteristics very well and perceive conventional constructions as less spatial.
The company BOSE also plays with indirect or reflecting sound components. A special and well-known classic of this kind is the Bose 901. Sonab and Pöhler Sound built similar successful models for many years, which still have many friends worldwide today !
The US company Ohm Acoustics still builds successful models according to this principle.
Olle Mirsch worked for Philips in his early days, founded his own company in 1971 and in early 1977 Sonab Audio AB was formed as an independent company, and subsidiary of AB Olle Mirsch. Therefore, Philips drivers were also used and his sound philosophy corresponded to that of the developer and later owner Stig Carlsson, Sonab.
These can be used as stereo front speakers and can be placed relatively close to the wall. Of course, these can also be used excellently in surround mode as rear speakers.
It is a 3-way bass-reflex system (reflex tube in the bottom) and housing with real wood veneer black ash.
The Mylar tweeter domes AD-0160 and the cone midrange drivers are from Philips.
These have been used by many manufacturers due to their quality.
The crossovers are of high quality.
Later one could install high quality banana jacks in the base to be able to dock better cables.
