Description[edit]
Further development of the Myro Amur C while retaining the basic pentagonal shape:
- Diamant tweeter instead of ceramic, hence the "D" designation.
- Separate crossover chamber with glass cover.
- Adaptation and improvement of the crossover circuitry
- Wall thickness of the cabinet now 32 mm with different layer structure
- Weight 56 kg
Tweeter: Accuton BD25-6-258
New price: 28000 Euro
Although intended for home use, the speaker is also used in recording studios.
Why a diamond tweeter?[edit]
Due to the very high resonance frequency of the diamond tweeter of more than 40 kHz, a reproduction with the lowest phase rotation and an extremely smooth filtering in the audible transmission range is achieved. This, in combination with the unique filter technology of all frequency ranges, enables a perfect square wave reproduction, which until 2014 was considered impossible with a passive loudspeaker by the experts.
"There is already an almost indescribable gain in detail to be perceived; - and this causes the music to take on an authenticity that banishes all ratio and draws me right into it. One of my frequently used discs for listening tests is the 1st album by Esther Ofarim. [...] For this you can confidently sell your car, your yacht and your horse. And should the woman object, - never mind, she can't sing that beautifully anyway."'

Ultrasonic measurements are required to detect any menbrane resonance in the Accuton Cell diamond tweeter. The measurements are carried out at the limits of measurement technology. Special demands are made on the measurement microphone. The majority of microphones already show clear deviations from 15 kHz. In the case of the diamond tweeter, only a few measuring capsules are suitable for measurements up to 50 kHz. The Microtech Gefell MK301 was calibrated by the manufacturer specifically for this purpose. Here, the microphone is measured and recorded without and with the mount in an elaborate measurement procedure.
