Company Profile[edit]
Founded in Chicago in 1925 by Sidney N. Shure as a radio distributor.
First microphone launched in 1933, production of pickups from 1937.
1958 began production of stereo pickups. They were installed in many Dual turntables.
Besides microphones, pickups are still part of Shure's product range in 2016, especially for DJs.
