Tag McLaren Audio (TMA) was founded in 1997 with the goal of developing the best audio and video electronics in the world.

  • As an entry into the hi-fi business, TMA acquired Audiolab.

To realize this vision, TMA was able to build on an experienced development team with many years of experience in F1 racing combined with specialists from the hi-fi industry. In 2004 the Mclaren parent company parted company with Tag McLaren Audio as a result of a restructuring and focus on racing. As a result of this restructuring, TMA was sold to International Audio Group (IAG). IAG will continue to service existing TMA customers. In addition, IAG continues to distribute some of TMA's products under the Audiolab brand.
