The remote control of the A-9009 can only be used for volume and audio muting. + | The A-9009 was manufactured in Portugal and can be identified as "Grundig" by the PCBs and connectors when removing the cover (in contrast to the A-9000). The speaker terminals are made of metal and gold plated. They have a 4mm hole where bananas can be plugged in directly which can be very practical. | ||

Reviews[edit]
- In contrast to its predecessor, the Fine Arts A-9000, which is very similar in circuitry and manufactured in Japan, the A-9009 additionally has 3 digital inputs (3x optical and 3x digital, switchable on the front panel). Each digital port can process signals with 32, 44 or 48kHz sampling frequency, detection is done automatically (via Yamaha IC YM3623B). The D/A conversion is done channel separated by a Philips TDA 1541A converter. On two of the amplifiers I repaired, however, no Silver Crown (S1) D/A converters were installed (I only found them in the CD-9009).
- Volume control via 4-way potentiometer (the "blue" ALPS) as already in the A-9000. Discrete output stage, driver stage again with hybrid component (STK3152), power increase by higher operating voltage.
Special feature: Phono MM and additionally Phono MC sockets, switchable on the front panel so that two turntables can be operated. The remote control of the A-9009 can only be used for volume and audio muting. At the rear of the unit there are 2 cinch sockets with the RC5 bus available where e.g. a CT-905, which does not have an infrared eye, can be remote controlled.
The A-9009 was manufactured in Portugal and can be identified as "Grundig" by the PCBs and connectors when removing the cover (in contrast to the A-9000). The speaker terminals are made of metal and gold plated. They have a 4mm hole where bananas can be plugged in directly which can be very practical.
