SWAMP stands for SWitchingAMPlifier. The Swamp is a PWM controlled power amplifier and thus belongs to the first "digital" power amplifiers with powerful output. The power amplifier was built around 1978. This SWAMP was built only very limited (150 pieces). It was part of a small series together with the F.E.T. Preamp and the Servostatic System.
Some technical data:
- Output power: 250 watts RMS 8 ohms per channel
- Frequency response: 10 Hz - 100 kHz
- Power bandwidth: 20 Hz - 20 kHz
- Harmonic distortion: less than 0.1% to full output power
IM distortion: less than 0.1% to full output power
- Signal to noise ratio: 96 dB
- Input impedance: 100 kOhm
- Sensitivity: 2.7 volts for 250 watts
- Terminating impedance: 2 ohms and above
- Rise time: 25 microS
- Attenuation factor: greater than 100
- Phase rotation: less than 2 degrees
- Time delay: 300 nS
- Power consumption: Standby 25 W, Max. 2000 W
- Weight: 16 kg
- Dimensions WxHxD: 483x115x381 mm
