Reports[edit]
Have now had 20 years of fun with this unit. Together with high-quality floorstanding speakers (Dynaudio), the RX-700 delivered a warm, high-quality sound and the connection options have left nothing to be desired. Unfortunately, however, already 5 years ago a loose contact in the area of the LED display incl. remote control acceptance crept in, which obviously afflicted a multiplicity of these devices sooner or later, because when trying to acquire a similar device used, this error was almost always present. Now, after 20 years of intensive use, another electronic component has unfortunately gone, which will probably mean the final end (from a certain runtime warming after about 1 hour, a sudden noise starts). Because of the really good sound, the stepless loudness and the great flexibility with connection devices I will now remain faithful to Yamaha with a new RX-797 in the two-channel stereo range.
