- If the goldcap for storing stations wears out over the years, you can replace it yourself. The defective goldcap has the number C707 on the circuit board (located directly next to the speaker output in the direction of the power cord) and has the shape of a small black block (0.047F/5.5V). You can safely install another capacitor as long as it can handle at least 5.5V.
