== Bemerkungen ==

Remarks[edit]

  • The PS-X75 must probably be considered the successor to the Sony PS-B 80, although both were built at almost the same time. The X75 was revised regarding reliability and price, especially the biotracer arm. This was simplified clearly. Some of the automatic functions (zero balance, anti-skating) were omitted or simplified (detection of the plate format). The electronic display of the contact force also gave way to a conventional scale, and the memory and needle cleaning functions disappeared completely. However, the main functions of the Biotracer remained and there were even practical improvements! During manual control the tonearm moved slowly for 0.5 seconds and then accelerated to normal speed. This made the precise control of certain points on the record much easier. This was not possible with the B80! All in all, these measures led to the desired commercial success, until today. Well preserved devices find, if they are offered, quite fast a new lover.
