Short description[edit]
Until now, the depth of the cabinet of compact systems was determined by the dimensions of the turntable. In contrast, the Model MC-8000 from Mitsubishi has a depth of only 245 mm, which contains a vertical turntable with tangential tone arm, automatic repeat facility and record size detection. Further features are automatic program selection, Dolby noise reduction and tape type selector switch in the cassette section as well as FM station buttons in the radio section (source: Funkschau August 1987/issue 16).
