Today, on the other hand, it is often auctioned off as a "high-end amplifier" or "bolide" on Ebay, or offered for prices beyond 200€. It should be clear to anyone interested that it is NOT both. That said, the FA3ES is a solidly built, durable integrated amplifier of the upper mid-range that is suitable for building a great-sounding hi-fi system if the limitations of the device are taken into account in the choice of components and it is properly maintained.

Ein Austausch des vorhandenen OpAmps gegen ein höherwertiges aktuelles Modell wie z.B. den LME 49720 und die Adaptierung der Schaltung auf diesen OpAmp dürfte für einen
 
Fachmann kein Problem darstellen,nur geringe Teilekosten verursachen und zu einem spürbar besseren Signal/Rauschabstand und weiter verringerten harmonischen Verzerrungen führen.
 
Die Platinen für den FA30ES und den TA-FB940R sind übrigens dieselben nur ist beim TA-FB940R der MM/MC-Schalter samt Anpasswiderständen für den Verstärkungsfaktor nicht bestückt.
 
Bei diesem Verstärker kommt also die Möglichkeit hinzu ihn MC-tauglich zu machen.
