The b2 sound recorder based on the K6 was developed to record enemy radio traffic. It was used by the German Wehrmacht. This device was manufactured in three parts in order to be able to transport it better and was installed in 3 metal cases:
- Partial unit L: drive, 21.5 kg, approx. 440 x 265 x 360 mm
- sub-unit V: amplifier, 6.5 kg, approx.: 440 x 265 x 345 mm
- Sub-unit Z: Accessories
Due to the war production there are several, not documented, variants.
Technical data:
- Voltage: 105 V to 250 V switchable wide range input.
- Motors: 3
- Tubes: 9
- Bandwidth: 6,5 mm
- Tape speed: 9 to 120 cm/s (adjustable)
- Frequency response: approx. 50 - 6500 Hz
- Dynamic: 38 dB
