The Yamaha GE-60 is an equalizer like any other. There is rarely much qualitative difference in equalizers, at least not at Yamaha. The spectrum analyzer glows in a cool bluish white, the lights around the controls are red as usual. The color of the spectrum analyzer can be changed by sticking a colored plastic foil behind the front (if you want to commit style break). The equalizer is quite heavy, which speaks for its good workmanship, all controls still move very smoothly after all these years. As an extra the GE-60 has two tape inputs and a subsonic filter whose crossover frequency is adjustable. The equalizer does not cause any noise. The strange arrangement of the sliders should be mentioned: left and right channel of a frequency range are always directly next to each other. All in all a very good device and my favourite among the Yamaha equalizers (even if I almost never use it). For comparison I already had an EQ-550 and EQ-500.
