Is the information about the remote control correct? My KX-5010 definitely didn't come with one. And if you compare the photos of the 5010 and 9010, you'll notice that the 9010 obviously has an IR receiver on the front, which is missing on the 5010. You can certainly control the tape deck via the system bus, but I don't think you can with remote control directly.
Technical features[edit]
In the 1990-91 brochure, the manufacturer lists a Dual Capstan drive as one of the features. In the 1989-90 brochure it does not. On a photo, which was posted by a seller on a well-known online auction platform, you can see a single capstan drive in the cassette compartment. This begs the question, was the equipment changed over the years of production? Or does Kenwood have a mistake in the brochure? Who knows for sure? --2001:16B8:66DC:4600:DCF4:AE04:8E6C:4087 11:44, 25 Jan 2021 (CET)
Predecessor/successor[edit]
For the KX-880HX, the 5010 is mentioned as the successor. From the impression and technical equipment this seems to me questionable. Who knows more exactly? --Ponsel (Discussion) 20:12, 5 Feb. 2021 (CET)
