* Denon DL-305:

* Das DL-305 ist eine verbesserte Ausführung des bisherigen Spitzenmodells DL-303. Sie wurde erreicht durch eine Gewichtsverminderung des Nadelträgers und die Erhöhung seiner Steifigkeit. Als Nadelträger wird jetzt ein dünnwandiges Röhrchen aus amorphem Bor verwendet. Hinten auf dem Nadelträger sitzt wie beim MMC-l ein kreuzförmiger Anker, auf den aber, da es sich um ein MC-System handelt, die Spulen aufgewickelt sind (Bild unten).

* Very good low end sampling capability, satisfactory high end sampling capability. Very good FIM behaviour. Relatively small transfer factor. Excellent crosstalk attenuation. Slight treble drop in frequency response. No treble resonance detectable in the transmission range. Music listening test: Slightly less exposed overtone range in pink noise. Mozart: slightly softer drawing in the high violin registers. Piano: clean pickup, slightly less impulse harshness in the treble, less contour sharpness in the bass. Shure TTR 115: 5th level clean. Shure TTR 117:5. level unclean. Overall verdict: Top class MM cartridge, suitable for very light tonearms. Price-quality ratio: not particularly favourable.
