Reviews[edit]
- The Technics SL-Q33 is a wonderful turntable a real insider tip! It is basically an SL-1210MK2 in the home version.
- It is usually very cheap to get because it is totally underrated.
- Common defect:
- Most of the time the automatic doesn't work anymore, a normal square belt that controls the tonearm is to blame for that.
- To open the unit, place it upside down on a cushion and unscrew the feet. This also loosens the bottom plate.
- This belt is usually lying crumbled in the unit when you open it, and is replaced near the gears where a small motor sits.
You can get such a belt for example in a hardware store. If you don't have a belt at hand, you can also use a normal rubber band.
- A square belt with 30mm diameter from a well-stocked specialist shop is recommended. The arm moves faster because the matching belt has less slip.
- Other info:
- This device is completely controlled from the outside
- The device has two motors
- Minus: Tonearm not height adjustable.
- The lift works via a push button.
