== Bemerkungen ==

* Der PS-X75 muß wohl als Nachfolger des [[Sony PS-B 80]] gelten, wenngleich beide fast zeitgleich gebaut wurden. Der X75 wurde hinsichtlich Zuverlässigkeit und Preis überarbeitet, insbesondere der Biotracerarm. Dieser wurde deutlich vereinfacht. So entfielen einige der Automatikfunktionen (Nullbalance, Antiskating) oder wurden vereinfacht (Erkennung des Plattenformates). Auch die elektronische Anzeige der Auflagekraft wich einer konventionellen Skala, die Memory- und die Nadelreinigungsfunktion verschwanden komplett. Die Hauptfunktionen des Biotracers blieben jedoch erhalten und es gab sogar praxisgerechte Verbesserungen! So bewegte sich der Tonarm während der manuellen Steuerung zunächst für 0,5 s langsam um danach auf die normale Geschwindigkeit zu beschleunigen. Das erleichterte die präzise Ansteuerung bestimmter Punkte auf der Platte erheblich. Das gab es beim B80 nicht! Insgesamt führten diese Maßnahmen zum gewünschten kommerziellen Erfog, bis heute. Gut erhaltene Geräte finden, so sie denn angeboten werden, recht schnell einen neuen Liebhaber.

Remarks[edit]

  • The PS-X75 must probably be considered the successor to the Sony PS-B 80, although both were built at almost the same time. The X75 was revised regarding reliability and price, especially the biotracer arm. This was simplified clearly. Some of the automatic functions (zero balance, anti-skating) were omitted or simplified (detection of the plate format). The electronic display of the contact force also gave way to a conventional scale, and the memory and needle cleaning functions disappeared completely. However, the main functions of the Biotracer remained and there were even practical improvements! During manual control the tonearm moved slowly for 0.5 seconds and then accelerated to normal speed. This made the precise control of certain points on the record much easier. This was not possible with the B80! All in all, these measures led to the desired commercial success, until today. Well preserved devices find, if they are offered, quite fast a new lover.
