Diese CD-Player wurden damals allesamt in Japan gefertigt. Das Besondere an diesem Modell aus der damaligen Zeit, ist die einzigartige CD Lademechanik. Jedes Mal fragt man sich beim Schließen der Ladeklappe: schafft es die CD auch dieses Mal wieder, rechtzeitig im Schacht zu verschwinden? Danach kann man der senkrecht stehenden CD zusehen, wie sie abgespielt wird. Eine weitere technische Besonderheit dieses Gerätes ist der regelbare Audio-Ausgang, der über einen Motorpotentiometer, also ohne größere Klangverluste, realisiert ist. Dieses Feature muss man bei heutigen Geräten lange suchen.

Der CD Player spielt auch selbst gebrannte CDs, ist dabei aber sehr wählerisch. Dies hängt sowohl von der Brenngeschwindigkeit wie auch vom Brenner ab. PC gebrannte CDs verschmäht er seltener als Apple-gebrannte. Der Kopfhörerausgang klingt auffallend gut, auch etwas, was man bei heutigen Geräten leider nicht mehr findet.

Every time you close the loading door, you ask yourself: will the CD manage to disappear into the slot in time again this time? Afterwards, you can watch the vertically positioned CD being played. Another technical feature of this unit is the adjustable audio output, which is realised via a motorised potentiometer, i.e. without any major loss of sound. This feature has to be searched for a long time in today's devices.
