With four Russian 829B power tubes each, the power amps have an unusual tube configuration that allows them to realize an unusual 100 watts of power per channel for a tube amp. These power amps really drive any speaker, even impedance critical ones, and still deliver the unique fascination of really high-end tube sound.
Technical Data:
- Type of device: power amplifier
- Circuit: Class AB1, P.P.
- Output power: 150 W (RMS @ 8Ohm )
- speaker impedance: 4 Ohm, 8 Ohm, 16 Ohm
frequency range: 15 Hz - 40 kHz ± 1dB
Distortion Factor (THD): 0.8%
- Foreign voltage distance: 94 dB
- Input impedance: 100 kOhm
- tube configuration: 4 x GU-29 (829Bs/FU-29/3E29), 2 x 12AU7, 1 x 12AX7, 1 x 6N6
- Inputs: 1 x RCA, 1 x XLR balanced
- outputs: 1 speaker (banana)
General Specifications
- Building date:
- Country of manufacture:
- Cabinet colors: chassis chrome, transformer black brilliant.
cabinet front: green metallic
- Dimensions W x H x D: 330 x 220 x 490 mm
- Weight: 26 kg
- New price approx:
Remarks[edit]
- Fortunately, replacement is not a problem with these tubes, as so much of this highly reliable military tube was produced that it should not be a problem to find NOS tubes should the need arise.
- Other models in the same series:

Reviews[edit]
I ran the power amps in comparison for some time with my Jeff Rowland 9TiHC mono power amps (65,000 euros). It took me a long time to decide to sell the Cayin again and keep the Jeff Rowland. In terms of musicality, voice reproduction and harmony of the music, this tube is clearly superior to my transistors.
