Description[edit]
This model has an angled baffle tilted 10° for equidistant placement of the phase centers from the listener. It was as a high-quality compact loudspeaker successor of the Myro Rebell. On listening axis, the drivers are thus tuned at 10° and linearized. This results in a 10° better directivity for both drivers.
This allows a slightly larger tweeter a tweeter energy on axis and in space, as would correspond to a smaller diaphragm diameter.
The enclosure shape of the a priori 10.01 is also already found in the older ESS PS-62, which was otherwise differently equipped. The "10" in the designation points to the year of development 2010. Current successor is the Wild Thing under the brand Wildland with a somewhat fuller tonal tuning.
