Brief description[edit]
The NT1-A is a large diaphragm condenser microphone. It offers a very wide frequency response and a very low self-noise. It has a cardioid polar pattern and a gold-plated diaphragm inside. The microphone is quite easy to mount: first you screw it into the fixture and then you hang it free-floating on rubber bands1. Since the Rode NT1-A requires phantom power, you also need an audio interface, preamp or mixer.
