Japanese manufacturer of cassette decks and car hi-fi. Founded in 1967.

Until about 1981, the hifi equipment was offered under the brand Alpage.
In 1984 Alpine bought the company Luxman, but sold it again in the early 2000s.
In 2000, the last home hifi factory (Hong Kong) was closed.
Since then Alpine is only active in the automotive sector (navigation, car hifi).
