Description[edit]
Entry-level model from Myro. The construction with a low-lying tweeter results in an impulse-directed radiation diagonally upwards, as with the Myro Rebell. The speaker is also used in recording studios.
Another design with a slanted baffle but the same drivers, which already anticipated design elements of the later Myro a priori 10.01, did not get beyond a design study.
Concept
- Type: compact loudspeaker
- Ways: 2
- Cabinet: Bass reflex
Original price: 1480 Euro
Equipment[edit]
The bass-midrange driver and tweeter are from the Seas Excel series and are identical to those in the Myro La Musica.
- Tweeter:'
The oval, resonance-damping elastomeric section in the front panel is shaped according to a specially tuned horn function, helping to increase radiation resistance, linearize frequency response, and provide uniform dispersion. Also noticeable is the optimized, wider edge suspension of the fabric diaphragm.
A low viscosity ferrofluid surrounds the voice coil to damp the self-resonance of the oscillating system and to cool it more effectively. This measure increases power handling, reduces distortion and improves the dynamic capabilities of the tweeter under load.
- Low-mid driver:
Minimal distortion, high power handling and large linear excursion, best frequency response linearity and transmission range from low bass to tweeter. Magnesium cone, hexagonal neodymium magnet, copper phase plug and copper pole piece ring as well as a compression-free, streamlined basket geometry offer the very best conditions for this.
