Elac CL 82 Ltd Stereoplay 20th

For the 20th anniversary of the magazine, the company Elac has presented a limited edition of the classic speaker. A special feature is the golden emblem on the front where the Elac logo usually sits. Only 250 pairs of this loudspeaker were produced. 10 year warranty !!!! All drivers were selected to 5% which is very expensive but makes sense. In terms of sound, this loudspeaker outperforms a lot of other loudspeakers. Due to the 180mm bass driver with a maximum excursion of 28mm you get the feeling that there is a subwoofer in the room. The tweeter is also a bit different. 25mm aluminium magnesium membrane. Brings even more dynamics than the standard aluminum tweeter. Sound very airy in the midrange and treble, plus a very kicky or dynamic bass without the classic growl. The whole paired with a great maximum level. I connected the pair to a Yamaha AX 890 bi-wiring. Players are Yamaha CDX 1100 , Yamaha DVD-S 2300 and Thorens TD-160 MK II. It sounds best on the old Yamaha CD player.....very fine high and midrange with incredible bass dynamics.....and that at coarse levels. " never give it away again
