The sound has just an American character. (a bit soft and not as dynamic as it could be) but can still be seen / heard next to renowned European devices.
The unmistakable highlight of this device is the completely symmetrical construction, which is rather rare in this price segment. In addition, the preamp has a direct channel, XLR outputs and complete phase switching at the touch of a button. Unfortunately, the phono preamplifier is missing, as well as controls for bass and treble. Who gets along well without, has with the Parasound P/LD-1500 a very good device that offers for its price, in addition to the excellent sound, excessively much.
