  • Founded in 1828 by Ignaz Bösendorfer in Vienna.
  • Subsidiary of Yamaha since late 2007.
  • Distributed a line of loudspeakers designed by Hans Deutsch for 8 years until its acquisition by Yamaha.

Takeover of the loudspeaker division by Brodmann[edit]

  • The loudspeaker division of the Bösendorfer company was taken over by Brodmann at the end of 2008.
  • Background:
    • Brodmann is also a long-established Viennese piano manufacturer.
