Company profile
German manufacturer producing hifi speakers since 1984 and current. Officially founded in 1926 as Electroacustic GmbH in Kiel.
1957 patent for the so-called MM cartridge system. Elac was also an important manufacturer of record players for a long time (see Wikipedia, link). In the 1980s, very good pickup systems came out of Kiel, such as the models 796 H 30 or 796 H Sp.
