Reviews[edit]
- First DAT recorder from JVC 1987/1988
- Report at "Hifi-Museum": [1]
- Typical problems are in the drive, the shift gear for the cassette eject loosens due to an incorrect mounting bolt dimensioning.
- No more spare parts available, simple tinker solution of mechanical type possible.
It starts with a "rattling" at the cassette eject.
- Solution:
- Remove the drive (fiddly removal of the front panel ...), find the gearwheel (lying somewhere on the bottom plate). Reassemble wheels and "hobbyist solution" with metal clips and glue.
- Otherwise a very good machine that also allows digital recording.
Recognizes only certain DAT cassettes. Solution also exists for this - keyword "add holes in cassette".
