Company profile[edit]
The brand Scriptum (written: Scr'ptum) was a small but fine German loudspeaker company based in Recklinghausen for about 20 years since the early 80s. The loudspeakers were manufactured and distributed by Galerie Overbeck. With the death of Lutz Overbeck the history of the Scriptum brand came to an end. Now the company is back with the following models:
Scriptum Xeo Scriptum Thrax
Both speakers are 3-way systems, the Xeo being Scriptum's top of the range model and costing around 7,000 Euro. The Scriptum Thrax costs 2,400 Euro. It is worthwhile to listen to the models on site. There are no alternatives on the free market in the respective price range, of course you have to convince yourself of that.
