* Häufiger Fehler bei gebrauchten Geräten: Nach den Einlegen einer CD und Schließen der Schublade wird die CD nicht eingelesen und die Schublade öffnet sich wieder. Grund ist ein ausgeleierter Gummiriemen, der am Motor für den Schubladenmechanismus hängt. Dadurch wird der Schubladenschlitten nicht vollständig in die Leseposition gezogen. Ersatzriemen gibt es z. B. bei eBay. Das Austauschen des Riemens ist eine ziemliche Fummelei, weil man das Laufwerk nach vorn ausbauen muss. Mit einem neuem Gummiriemen ist der Fehler aber schlagartig verschwunden.

  • Frequent error with used devices: After inserting a CD and closing the drawer, the CD is not read and the drawer opens again. The reason is a worn out rubber belt which is attached to the motor for the drawer mechanism. As a result, the drawer slide is not fully pulled into the reading position. Replacement belts can be found on eBay, for example. Replacing the belt is quite a fiddly job because you have to remove the drive forward. With a new rubber belt, however, the error is suddenly gone.
