British manufacturer of loudspeakers founded in 1961 by Raymond Cooke. Cooke was previously an electrical engineer at the BBC. KEF was bought in 1992 by GP Acoustics, whose headquarters are in Hong Kong. Development continues to be in England. GP Acoustics also owns Celestion.
