The inner workings of the two devices are absolutely identical, except for the extra boards needed for the extra functions of the OMS-7EII. So I could only upgrade my OMS-5EII to remote controllability and programmability with the infrared receiver of a defective OMS-7EII.
  
Photo eines OMS-7EII. Der OMS-5EII besitzt auf der rechten Seite nur 2 kleine Tasten. Links fehlen beim OMS-5EII der Kophörerausgang und der Lautstärkeknopf.
 
Das Innenleben der beiden Geräte ist absolut identisch, bis auf die extra benötigten Platinen für die Extrafunktionen des OMS-7EII. So konnte ich meinen OMS-5EII lediglich mit dem Infrarotempfänger eines defekten OMS-7EII auf Fernsteuerbarkeit und Programmierfähigkeit erweitern.
