Körting Radio Werke GmbH was a manufacturer of radio and television sets based in Grassau, Chiemgau. Its origins went back to a Leipzig lighting company founded in 1889, whose capital investment was used to found Dr Dietz & Ritter in 1925, which began building radio receivers under the Körting brand in 1932. Often praised for the high quality of its products, Körting was also one of the pioneers of color television in Germany. From 1954 until their joint demise in 1978, Körting was the in-house supplier of the then important Neckermann mail order company. After that, the company was taken over by the Yugoslavian household appliance manufacturer Gorenje.
