Die Teac A-3300SX-2T ist die Highspeed Version der Teac A-3300SX, da sie im Gegensatz zur A-3300SX über die Wiedergabegeschwindikeiten 19cm/s und 38 cm/s verfügt (A-3300SX 9,5 cm/s und 19 cm/s). Die Highspeed Version gab es nur als 2-Spur Version, während die A3300SX sowohl als Viertel-, als auch als Halbsur Version verkauft wurde. Durch die Verdoppelung der Breite der Spur und die Erhöhung der Geschwindigkeit auf 38cm/s ergibt sich eine Verbesserung der Ruhegeräuschspannung von 58 dbm auf 60 dbm. Oft wird die A3300SX-2T als semiprofessionelle Maschine bezeichnet, da sie über keine symmetrischen Eingänge verfügt. Dennoch wurde Sie vielfach als Mastermaschine bei professionellen Produktionen eingesetzt (z.B. Gunther Gabriel). Auf Grund ihrer enormen Robustheit fand sie speziell in Japan Anwendung als Zuspielmaschine in Kassettenkopierwerken. Sowohl die A-3300SX als auch die Highspeed Version verfügen über Mikrophonvorverstärker und ein Mischpult zum Mischen von Mikrophon- und Linesignalen. Beide Maschinen haben Trimmer zum Einstellen sämtlicher Parameter, die notwendig sind zum Einmessen der Maschine. Es ist möglich, die Geräte auf vier verschiedene Typen von Bändern einzustellen und die Parameter Aufnahmeentzerrung und Vormagnetisierung auf der Front des Gerätes per Schalter zu wählen. Als Nachteil der Maschine wird häufig gesagt, dass sie nicht sehr hoch aussteuerbar ist, etwa 514 nWeber bei 38cm/s. Vom Werk her ist die Maschine auf 185 nWeber eingestellt. Dies ist bedingt durch die niedrige Voltzahl, bei der die Vorverstärker arbeiten (ca. 22-23 Volt) Durch die Existenz professioneller Rauschunterdrückungsmittel wie Dolby SR oder Telcom C4e (Verbesserung bis zu 30 dbm der Dynamik) ist diese 'Manko' obsolet, da sich bei niedrigerer Aussteuerung gleichzeitig erheblich bessere Werte für Klirrfaktor und Kanaltrennung ergeben. Als Mastermaschine ist die A-3300SX-2T ein Leichtgewicht (ca. 22 kg) im Vergleich zur Telefunken M10 mit 60 kg alleine für das Chassis. Dennoch ist sie äusserst robust und verfügt über beste Phasenstabilität bei Stereobetrieb.
